Day two, Twice as much love for Chamonix
Day two in France and I can safely come the conclusion the Chamonix valley may be one of the best places in the world. Today we woke up late to enjoy a breakfast of croissants and fresh fruit served at our chalet. Then after some list making and pack parking we hit the town. Even the public transportation here is dope. We got free bus passes because we're staying in a chalet so public transportation is the way to go. Not to mention the schedule is accurate and dependable, a nice change from the more creative Boston schedule. It was only a 30 trip into Chamonix where we had a delicious lunch under the shadow of Mount Blanc. The rest of the afternoon was pent parousing around. We ventured as far as outer Chamonix in hopes of finding a lake but had no success. We also did our first grocery shop to get ingredients for dinner, that turned out quite well. After a lovely day in the beautiful, bus tiling city of Chamonix we cooked a delicious meal made with ingredients all from France. This was something I truly appreciate about Chamonix they make eco friendly choices easy. The first big thing i noticed recycling system is well organized as far as I can see with multiple bins for sorting at every location where trash can be found. Also, In the super-marche all produce was labeled, under the name, with the country of its origin. That way you could make not only the most delicious but Eco conscious decision while cooking.
